Big Trap In Africa
I thought this might be of some interest to the guys near, giant trap I saw when in Namibia last year
I think used on problem Leopard, may hold some thing bigger ?

Thats a Warthog hoof in it .

Wow, that'd hold darn near any critter. I got to see 100's of confiscated foothold traps ( called "gin" traps) last summer in Mozambique, but nothing near that size...

To big for leopard bigger then my Newhouse bear trap.

I wonder on the spring strength I can stand on my Newhouse strings and they well not move.

Yeah, that might be a trap left over from world war II!! Not sure what something that big would be used for!

Do the springs look right to you guys? One is bolted and both look unextended. Must have been something when new. Neat off-set to the jaws. Man traps usually had taller jaws. Perfect for lion with an eight foot long by one foot diameter log bouncing along behind it.

AS a public service place two three dozen of those traps around each court house in the nation, baited with $10.00 bills. In a couple of weeks you could thin out the herd of lawyers.
