If your getting the a cartridge coming out under the lifter when you cycle the action because it is not being held in the magazine like it should then the problem is most likely the little tit on the link is broken. It ia a simple replacement and you can get new links from brownells for about $30. Its easier and quicker to replace the part than to ship the gun back to Winchester.

I'll have to check into that. Is this a common occurance with these rifles, or just one of those things that can happen sometimes. I'll take a look in the brownells catalog and see if I can figure out which piece it is, then look and see if mine's broken. One more question can I tell if the tit is broken without taking the gun apart? I've never taken a winchester apart, because of how difficult people say it is.
