Teat Houndwin 94 30-30 - any tsx reloaders out there?
Have any of you lever guys played around with the 150gr tsx bullets for 30-30?
I need to reload some lead-free rounds so that I can take it to the field here in Commiefornia.
Thanks for any response,

Lamari would check with barnes on that one.
the bullet doing it's job is pretty important at those velocities.

Allan DeGrootI'm pretty sure he's talking about the 150gr TSX specifically for the 30-30.
They have a rather large point opening to emulate a flat point.

Yep, this would be the 150gr specifically designed for 30-30.

buckeyeshooterI have a box on the shelf, but I'm thinking of using them in my .307 or 308 ME. Barnes bullets generally like high velocity and these will push them a bit faster than the 30-30.

Allan DeGrootI'd actually try them except for one thing...
I have ~350rounds of loaded ammo already for my 30-30
and it's all loaded with the old (long discontinued) 170gr
Nosler Solid Base.
It's all loaded with 30grs of IMR-3031
It works, it works real well
Can't see much point in fiddling with it.
Especially as I still have another four full boxes (remember back then nosler put 100 in each box) and a partial...
I don't really see myself running to my local reloading supply and buying up a bunch of Barnes for 30-30, unless lead cores are outlawed here, which I don't consider very likely.

sdownI loaded the TSX in my 30-30 Ackley and I'm now loading them in my 308 Marlin Express. I so much want to save the condors you know.
