Win 94 congo carbine...?
My Father in law has given me his SRC from about 1912 to clean up. He said it would go off right after working the lever. I cleaned a bout a pound of 1912 dirt out of it and it seems fine now.

Anyway it has a rear sight calibrated in meters, side mount sling mounts and what look like Belgian proofs. One on the bbl and one on the action and one on the top of the action. All in a row. Looking at the serial 650xxx it seems it could be a congo carbine. Does anyone have any info on this style of gun.

Looks like i have some more info. Seems it is a French contract gun for a 1914 order for WW1. Many of these were surplused to Belgium after the war.

the st etienne proof is from the french arsenal.
it was [maybe still is] the french version of springfield back in the 1800-1900's.
they built the 11 mm lebel and re-bbl'd and sleeved them to the 8mm version.
