Funny stuff! I agree with most...buy the gun. If she protests, so what? She will run out of hot air sooner than that rifle will rust away. Besides, how much of her crap can she sell AT A PROFIT??? This makes my wife madder than hell, but can you see them down on the street corner trying to push used makeup and shoes?

And yes, I am a jerk!

I am pretty blessed, I suppose. My wife's responses to new gun purchases are to 1) heft it, shoulder it, point it, and claim it for herself--or 2) when the acquisition is a handgun, "Nice--when do we get the Glock?" To date, she has laid claim to a SIG-Sauer P-228, Ruger Mini-14, and a Rem 870 x 28 gauge--and lets me use the Rem 788 x 243 for cast boolits during the off-season. Dunno if she is holding them hostage until the Glock arrives or what. She hunts, fishes, shoots, and hikes with me too. Life is good.
