I have purchased a used Savage 99e in 300 Savage. I would like to know the age, or approx age. I dont believe it to be vintage by any stretch how old.
Savage doesnt provide this info any longer.

The serial number is 1029608

Does anyone have an idea of how old it may be ?

Probably made in the 1970 to 1980 era....unless you have added an extra number to the serial number...which means you have one of the latest M0d 99Es produced..

An educated guess as 6 diget serial numbers ran in 1940 at 398,400......
