Woodrow SI have a Winchester 1895 TD in .405 and it is quite nice. It takes down real easy too. Very good design to me.

Big Bore FanI´m thinking, that zhaba is meaning with a "Browning lever takedown" the BLR-takedown lever rifles. This rifles are prodced for rounds like the 7-08 or .308Win.
The "classic" rifles like the M86 or M95, made by Winchester and in the past by browning, are chambered for rounds like the .45-70 or .30-40Krag, .30-06 or .405WCF.

N E 450 No2I also have an 1895 take down in 405 WCF.
It is very accurate. I can say that I do like takedown guns.

BISCUTI have 2 of the Browning BLR's 450 Marlin takedowns. Excellent rifles. Shoot very well. Drawback is the stocks are pretty but easily scratched and dented. Mine are obviously walnut and not SS versions.

zhabaThanks mate thats good news for me. I only wish that they would make a synthetic stock for them as like you its going to take some punishment for what i want to do

Dave Bushzhaba:
I have a blued pistol grip BLR takedown in 450 Marlin an I really like it. The takedown feature makes it really easy to clean. I think they make it in a stainless as well. I say
