7.62 Russian in a Win. 1895- anybody shoot one?
i currently have one being put together by my gunsmith. started as a .30-40 Krag with a sewer pipe bore and a friend found an original Russian contract barrel in mint condition to put on it. and am looking for some guidence on loads that are safe for this combo. i know enough to stay away for the surplus ammo( all the local stuff is actually hugarian machine gun ammo, on a hot day makes for a hard bolt open in a mosin) i have some igman factory ammo, but decided to play it safe by pulling bullets and dumpingpowder, will start of with a light load. won't be too much longer till she comes home to join the rest of oddball collection.

270 win, it's the cartridge that makes me punch infants!!!
