Is there an easy fix for a stiff loading gate on a Marlin 336 30-30?

Take it off(One screw on the right side of the receiver)directly behind the gate.Tweek it a little to take pressure off of the gate and reinstall.

Used to complain to the ex about that same issue, lol! Couldn't help that.
