nash22Winchester model 64 25-35 cal
Looking for some info on the above rifle. How rare is the 25-35 caliber in this model? How is the accuracy? Thinking of adding one to the lever action collection. Any info will help.
Thanks

Bill/OregonNash: I can't speak to the rarity of the chambering, but will say the .25-35 is perhaps the most accurate round Winchester ever chambered in a lever gun (Model 88 excepted). If Ray Atkinson were posting here, I am sure he would vouch for the accuracy and killing power on deer, given decent shot placement. In my own experience, just fooling around at 200 yards with a Model 94 with 26-inch barrel, Lyman tang sight and mixed ammunition, I had no problem shooting coffee cup-size groups.

nash22Thanks Bill, I figured it was pretty accurate as my dad has a M94 25-35. That was my first deer gun when I started hunting. Never had the chance to take anything with it, but was sure it would have worked.

390ishNever seen a 64 in 25-35. That would be nice. I have a 94 and it is great. Would like to have one with a longer barrel and peep sights.

Bo RichA Model 64 in .25/35 is indeed a rare bird. Not often seen or sold.

kaschiThere was one for sale on Gunbroker not long ago I'm pretty sure. It might be there since I have not looked for a while.

Idaho SharpshooterI could easily find room for either a 64 or 94 rifle (26"bbl) in 25-35 at my house.
