458WinRe: 1895, 375 hawk or 411 or 9.3x62?
I have used some of the conversions and calibers you mentioned. They work great and but if I were to do it for myself ( which I doubt I would) I would choose the 9.3x62. Or buy another in .405.

But, you would be money ahead, have more fun, plus be a lot deadlier shot with the M-95 if you just spent the same money on a few cases of inexpensive 30-06 ammo and really learned to use the rifle. Then when you really need a big game rifle load up some 220 grain Partitions or solids and you will be well armed for anything you are likely attempt.

ASS_CLOWNDPhillips,
How much additional velocity does a 411 Hawk provide over a 405 Winchester when loaded to equal pressures? The 405 Winchester can easily beat 2500 fps with a 300 gr bullet.
