BatmanLegacy Sports 92 Puma
All,
Recently I had the opportunity to wring out a Stinless 92 Puma from Legacy Sports. I was quite skeptical going into the test as I had a Puma in .357 in the past that just didn't work. While made by Rossi, the Puma's had a lot of quality problems. Recently, Rossi was bought out by Taurus and quality is great.
The example I had was one good looking rifle. It was in .480 Ruger.
Accuracy was good, in the 3/4" range at 50 yards with open sights and the gun was absolutely reliable. Several times I did my best to get it to hang up and I couldn't. I cycled it as hard and fast as I possibly could, and it just came back for more.
The action was as smooth or smoother than any original Winchester that I can remember handling.
All in all, I heartily recommend taking a good, close look at the newer 92's being imported by several manufacturers.
Good Shooting

Borealis BobBatman...
Yes, the ones in .357 mag had a bad reputation but the others have always been fine. I got on in .44 mag a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and accuracy.
