Feeding & Extracting In .357 Marlin Lever Guns?
In their new catalog they have an asterik by the .357 model that says, "consult instruction manual for ammunition use". I have a .44 Marlin lever gun but was wondering about feeding and ejection in the .357. Does anyone own and shoot one? How do they handle .38 Specials? billt.

Dunno, but the 357 marlin I had use to FEEL like it had jammed just as the lever was moved back from full open. I could never get out of the habit of double shuffleing it. But it NEVER actually jammed.

The manual just says there is a 1.59" COL limitation, if I remember correctly. In other words, SAAMI spec. Some cast bullets designed for revolvers may not comply.

I haven't tried 38 specials in my Marlin.
