In addition to what Ray says tang sights interfere with the hadling of the rifle.

I sure don't know where this crap comes from, but if you haven't actually spent some time with a tang sight, try it and decide for yourself. Some of us use them exclusively and our opinions tend to differ.

If you really want to interfere with the handling of a rifle, put a scope on it.
