Win 92 teardown?
I'm trying to clean my great-grandfather's 1892 after a day of shooting, but I've never worked on a lever-action rifle before. I need to get the bolt out of the way so that I can swab the bore; can anybody point me in the right direction? I appreciate any help.

Buy this book.
It takes you through step by step how to takedown nearly every centerfire rifle in the known universe.

I wouldn't recommend buying it directly from the publisher, but find a retailer who has it in stock. Some of the best money you will spend on gun stuff.

Don't want to try it from memory, but this should show you waht you need to do.

If you haven't put a lot through it, I would consider a bore snake (clean) and let it go at that. More guns are ruined by cleaning then ever shot out.

Thanks a lot for yalls help. And yes, that Gun Digest series is pretty nice; I've thumbed through the shotgun and auto pistol volumes.
