bigricWin 92 teardown?
I'm trying to clean my great-grandfather's 1892 after a day of shooting, but I've never worked on a lever-action rifle before. I need to get the bolt out of the way so that I can swab the bore; can anybody point me in the right direction? I appreciate any help.

ShopCartRacing http://www.collect.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=Kraus...e&product%5Fid=AS4R2Buy this book.
It takes you through step by step how to takedown nearly every centerfire rifle in the known universe.
I wouldn't recommend buying it directly from the publisher, but find a retailer who has it in stock. Some of the best money you will spend on gun stuff.

If you haven't put a lot through it, I would consider a bore snake (clean) and let it go at that. More guns are ruined by cleaning then ever shot out.

bigricThanks a lot for yalls help. And yes, that Gun Digest series is pretty nice; I've thumbed through the shotgun and auto pistol volumes.
