Marlin 336 from Round to Octagonal and more
I just finished some work on my Marlin 336 converting it from a round barrel to octagonal and a curved lever to a straight lever.

You can read about it with pictures here:

Very nice.

I have an XLR but i wish it was a blue rifle with an Octagonal and nice wood...

How does it shoot?

The only thing the XLR has going for it is it is a shooter.

Only "fired for function" as I had no round nose bullets available. Picked some up yesterday so I'll get out to the range later today.

But with spritzer bullets, loaded one at a time it shot a 4" group at 100yds with iron sights!

The proper straight lever arrived yesterday. I reblued it and installed........Looks great.

New pictures soon.......
