Hello,
Is the receiver drill for a peep sight?
Thanks

Hello,
How do you like the .480 Puma? What barrel and sights do you have.

John, so far so good but I haven't played with it a lot, 200 rounds maybe, mostly factory loads, but have a pile of cast to try. It's quite the little thumper for it's size.

It's a 20" stainless with the Hi-Viz sights. I removed that top saftey and slicked up the action a bit. My trigger was right at 4# so I'm not going to fiddle with it for awhile.

Next time I have it apart, I'm gonna give it a light bead blasting, strip the wood down, and do something with that ugly recoil pad.

Mine in .44 mag isn't tapped.

Marbles offers a tang sight for this model. Be warned, though, that it is slightly off dimensionally and won't let the rifle cock without some modification to either the hammer ( bob it slightly ) or grinding down the tang plate.

Al,
How do you like the HI Viz sights? Was removing that extra safety hard? If I did that I could drill and tap for a peep.

The sights stick out like a sore thumb against any back ground.

Removing the top saftey isn't hard, drift out a pin and it pops out. It's about a 5/16 hole, I just pluged mine off with a piece of stainless and buffed it smooth. I don't see why you couldn't tap it for a peep.
