Arctic GunWhat did I miss out on?
I was at a gun shop the other day, and on the display rack was a beautiful gun. It had nice lines, a colour-case hardened reciever, what looked to be a rotory magazine of all things, and a lever style action. It appeared almost custom, yet, upon further inspection I found it was made by Savage! Savage! I couldn't believe what I read. The creator of modern low end rifle made this?! The data stamp was as follows: Savage model 99, 1910 (year of manufacuture I suppose), .303 savage. And there, on the barrel was the reason I did not buy, it had no practical use as the .303 savage is extinct. But now I wonder, after reading a few articles on such guns, what did I miss out on in terms of value. The gun was on sale for $350 canadian.

Frank MartinezYou missed out on the thrill of finding something that others will drool over at a price that is a steal unless it is rusted up inside. Of course you can still enjoy it if you go back and wait for them to open and then negotiate a lower price!

muffinGo back and buy it, then when you get home and find that extra little slide button under the forearm, you can come back and tell us all that it is a takedown model, did I say
'Go back and buy it'???
