Ghost Ring sights for a top-eject rifle.
This is probably going to be another dumb question, but here goes anyway.

I have a Model 94 Winchester, a Cheif Crazy Horse Commerative, in 38-55, that I like to hunt with.

Some time back I emailed a co. that supposedly has the Ghost Ring Sights, and I requested information about the availability of such sights for a top-eject rifle.

Do any of you have any information on the availability of such a sight system for this type of rifle.

I just use a Williams side mount peep, already drilled and tapped on older M94's.
Hot shots like Jeff Cooper say to take the eyepiece out to make a ghost ring out of it.
Should be as good as any.

I didn't like the looks of that at all so I just drilled the eyepiece out to suit myself.

Thank You for that info. I had tried a sight like that for a litte while, and still have it somewhere in my stuff. I will re-mount it and see how it works. wave

Crazyhorse,

Here is the setup you want-
Use a williams WDOS sight base

and a ghost ring aperture

Base is $10 and aperture is 5 and change. This is a GREAT setup, mounts forward like a scout scope and I find it faster as you do not have to lose sight of the target during the transition when you bring the gun up. Midway has all this.

I've had the Williams side mount on my 94 in 30-30 for years. Set it, forget it and go shoot it. Smiler
