| The 99 was in its death throws when the clip model came out and the 7-08 followed that, then they folded the 99....no one wanted the clip model..It was a last ditch try..but I don't remember the years..early 90s I think. |

| Seems like owners of 99's rarely sell them! Have never seen this chambering in real life. As others have said-- it is a good investment! Have been looking for a 99 A in .308 with the top tang safety for years and never run onto one of them either--- and a reasonable price!  |

| Buckeyeshooter, you can find a m-99A, .308 in about every copy of Gunlist..I see them in there quit often...
What I would like to find is another Mod 99EG in .308..I have had several, but keep selling them for some reason. |
