Marlin 1895 hammer
Are there any custom hammers available for an 1895 Marlin? If possible I'd like to switch a the stock hammer w. extension, for a one-piece unit.

Just curious. Why? bewildered

I can't seem to get my extension to stop being a little wobbly -- tried a new extension, various types of loctite, etc -- just a bit of an OCD thing, I suspect.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I have had one on mine for serveral years now with no problem at all.....perhaps call Marlin. They have always been helpful.

Instead of using Locktite on the set screw a fella can always afix the extension to the hammer all but permanently with some black Acraglas gel. Be careful not to let any drip anywhere you don't want it...

I have the knurled cylindrical extension (Mikes?) on mine and even without loctite it hasn't worked itself loose.
