New DG 1886?
Has anyone shot one of these new rifles yet?

Have not shot one of these rifles, but had a Browning 1886 SRC which is basically the same.
Will say that when you consider the number of rounds held in the magazine, the total energy available is considerable. With stout loads the recoil is definitely there but the straight butt pad would be better than the traditional curved arrangement. Don't know where they are sourcing the action itself but if true to original design few are any smoother and reliable as the '86 for a levergun. Does seem a little on the pricey side??

I looked at one at SHOT a couple years ago. The one at the show was not as slick as my well worn Brn SRC but they were quite interesting. With stout Buffalo Bore loads it would make a fine bear or lion rifle.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship
