'94 Legendary Frontiersman - Loose Forearm
Hi everyone,

My Winchester 1894 Legendary Frontiersman (.38-55) has a forearm that will slide forward when the rifle is shot. This particular model does not have a retention band around the forearm. Instead there is a small machine screw across the front of the forearm; tightening this screw does nothing useful.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I suspect the forearm tenon has broken.

Here is a picture of what it looks like:

It states they are out of stock but try giving them a call.

You appear to be correct about the tenon. Unfortunately, the tenon on my rifle appears to differ from that in the picture. I've emailed Homestead Parts and hope they can identify the correct part.
