I had a Marlin Model 94 in .44 Mag and absolutely loved it. I honestly wish I had it back.
I didn't have any problems with it, other than than extraction was a little sticky at first. But that eases up over time and use. Accuracy was very good, even with open sights.

No experience with the Henry.

I have a Marlin 1894. Bought it in 1984. I have been very happy with the way it shoots. I have used it for CAS and hunting. Mine is a microgroove and handles 300 grain XTP's accurately-- as oppossed to general belief.
