admiralquestion for Doug Turnbull
in the March 2010 Rifle magazine's 'Custom Corner' they feature a 1886 in 475 Turnbull. the rear sight looks like a std. issue semi buckhorn that has had the wings milled off. is that what i am seeing? or do you produce such a sight? on all my Browning/Winchester repro's i obtained replacement sights from the factory and milled mine to have the same look for the last 15 years.

Doug TurnbullYes you are right . It is a Browning standard 86 right that is put to the grinder, a 6" wheel and ground to the U notch. Break the edges and touch up the blue. Everyone that shoots that sight is very happy with how it works. A modifiyed express sight.
