Left for newfoundland on the 5th of Oct. Drove to Sydney NS for the ferry into NFL, arrived and drove into camp. Met the out fitter Steve Hipson of Fox Harbour Outfitters and got my tag. WE went out the next few days not seeing much that was close enough to shoot, but by the 4th day as the wind was blowing we called in this young bull that I shot using the 475 Turnbull in a Winchester 1886, the wind was blowing about 20-25 MPH cross wise and at 200 yrds I was able to shoot him in both shoulder and in the chest one on each side as he turned to run back to the woods. All this was captured on video for a show Steve is putting on the Pursuit channel for Hard Core Hunter. I will get some pictures posted of mine and of a friends moose that joined me on this hunt too.
