Guts of a BLR stainless
Well folks, are the gears and cams in a BLR stainless, stainless?, brass?, carbon steel or something else? If they are easy to rust, this looks like a bear to clean up if the rifle takes a dunking or a through wetting down.

Thanks for the help.

Yes if you take out the mag open the action and slam it in to sand you may have a problem. Then I had a BLR i never had any problem with the function of the mecanics.

BLRs work just fine if you take ordinary time to clean and oil them.I doubt there is a more accurate lever action made including the Sako. The triggers need some help, but that can be done also.

Ive been told the cams are of a plastic substance of some type..Ive owned a couple of them and never had a problem, so it would not be an issure with me..They sure are a nice rifle and great little saddle gun in some good calibers.
