crsheltonBetter may depend on what you plan to shoot with it - better for what?
I am shooting NF 350 SS in 45-70 and 45-90 and they are very accurate on paper targets. However I have yet to shoot game with them.

AtkinsonConsidering the availability I bought 4 boxes of the 350 gr swifts from Midway, and 400 405 gr. Rem. bullets from ET Brass...
How these Swifts work on game I don't know but most any soft point will work well in the 45-70 has been my experience and beggers can't be choosers in todays bullet market..
Ive used Swift bullets in my 338, 375, 416 Rem, 30-06 and probably some otherss over the years without complaints, they have a good reputation.
Im confident the swift is a premium bullet with soft point Hollow point with a partition much like a Nosler partition and the 350 gr. is a perfect balance in the 45-70.
Now if someone would come out with some .348 jacketed bullets!!
