1886 questions
Their are several reproductions on the market, which one is best ,and especially which have the tapered locking lugs like a mod 71 and which have the proper straight locking lugs like the original 1886?

Australia
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!

I mean, the best stock-repro rifles are made my Miroku. I have a Browning M1886 carbine made in the 90´s, and it´s a very smooth action. I saw some older Miroku M71 rilfes, with the same excellent action.
I saw never a newer M1886 rifles made by Miroku for Winchester here in Germany in the last years. Such rifles are very, very rare here. Only made for the US market.
Since a few years, Pedersoli is making a M86 rifle, but I have no experience with this rifles.
Turnbulls M86 is a "custom" rifle, with an "custom" price. No question, excellent rifles and I like Turnbulls work. But a little bit expensive.
