Steel weaver base for Marlin? Exist?
Does anyone know of a source for a blued steel one piece Weaver/Picatinny style scope base? I am aware of the commonly available aluminum bases. I have come across steel bases (picatinny/Weaver) for Rem 700's and Win 70's, but not Marlin 336/1895.

Does anyone know of a source? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about a one piece base but the Grand Slam (TM) series is made of steel. The site I found showed the two piece bases. For the Marlin's the model is S466 I believe they are two piece. You will need two. This is for the Common Lever guns and some others.

BP Jack is correct. Weaver's Grand Slam bases are steel. I have a set on my 1895 and they work just fine. thumb

Leupold also makes 1 piece steel scope mounts for Marlins.
