as i get it the pricetag on 17 HMR ammo is supposed to be going up to the 10-12/box range very soon. might want to stock up on some of the $8 stuff if you can find it

Everyone thought I was nuts when I began stock piling 17 HMR. About the second and third year this cartridge was out sales were very common. I did not pay more than seven bucks a box for any thing I have. I have two rifles in 17 hmr. I wonder what barrel life is like. Well I got 5500 rounds to find out with

id assume barrel life would be faily decent as they are only doing 2500fps. not as long as the good ol 22LR

As I remember it, many said the price would go down, as they made bigger batches.
