Jpat1969 Romanian trainer
My youngest is a few weeks from his 10th birthaday. He loves to shoot, but has issues w/ the .22's I have. To heavy, butt stock to long, Can't get proper eye relief w/ scope. So I bought him a 1985, 1969 Romanian trainer. 5.5 pounds and easy to sight rear leaf and front post sights. Rear sights are 25, 50, and 100 meters. Nice little rig. It has been sitting in my FFL's vault for 20 years. I thought $90.00 was a good price.
I think he will be happy to have his own rifle.

craigsterI have one, they are fun little rifles. Mounted a 4x Weaver, used a modified Weaver base for 336 Marlins. IIRC, I paid 49.95 for the rifle 6 or 8 years ago. I'm sure your son will have lots of fun with it.
