Marlin Mountie
I got lucky tonight and won an auction for a 1957 vintage Marlin 39a Mountie. Check goes out in the morning so it will probably be 2-3 weeks before I see it.

Good catch. I'm not sure of the year on mine. Had to have a 5 shot tube made for it for NYC compliance.

I lucked out on this one. Seller described rust stains on receiver, but I cannot see any. Wood has nice grain, deep reddish color, with only a few dings, nothing uncommon for a almost 60 year old rifle. In deference to my old eyes, I removed the factory rear and installed a Lyman receiver sight
