Has anyone shot the Savage 17 semi-auto?

haven't shot one, just saw one at the local shop. didn't look like much

It is kind of a breakthru design. It uses a delayed blowback design like the MG 42 of German WWII fame. Worth a second look.

Any updates on this one. Looks like an neat rifle. Curious if it is performing as advertised.

A friend has one, it's been back to Savage twice, and it still doesn't work as advertised. He's calling it his semi-auto single shot. And he's been using the A-17 ammo.
