Wine corks
For many years I have shot empty shotgun hulls for practice. I have not reloaded them in years, besides many clients leave them behind on our bird hunts. Today I saw a bunch of old wine corks and gave them a try for 22 pistols. I set them on a board and wow. When hit they fly about 10 feet . Some of theses corks are synthetic and the bullet hole almost reseals it self (for more shots). This will be great practice for hunting season, and South Afrika in Oct. Now its time to oil up the old Anshutz. Try the corks if you have not, I like it Big Grin

Hang 'em from strings and you won't have to go and set them up each time.

By the way, what's a wine cork? My wine all comes with a handy screw-off lid. If you don't finish the bottle on the first drag, you can screw the lid back on and walk down to the next alley to finish it.

Its best if you buy the jugs with the ring just below the mouth. Hangs off the fist easier without slipping when you're navigating between rest stops. Loganberry wine works well for this.

I normally drink "Chateau Carton" the wine that comes in a mylar bag inside a box......Blow up the bag when the wine is gone, makes a much larger target.

Don't ask me what happened, when I left Viet Nam, we were winning.

Chateau Carton , now thats funny. rotflmo I have now nailed some planks on a pecan tree in the backyard , and hung 6 corks with tape and fishing line. It has worked good. You can shoot the line but it is rare. When they are hit and swinging the real fun starts.
