Henry Repeating Arms AR 7 22LR
Do any of you have any experience with this 22LR rifle?

Accuracy, reliability etc.

A buddy is looking for something to carry in his SUV, ATV and keep at his cabin and deer lease.

I shot one of the original many years ago, but I must admit I have not handled one of the Henry's.

I picked up a camo one a few months ago. Put a couple hundred rounds thru it so far with no issues. It is very lightweight and is more accurate than I expected.

Personally, I would suggest a Marlin Papoose instead. To be honest, I have never even shot a Henry AR7 but the old armalite version left a bit to be desired.

You can get the papoose in stainless too. Another option is there used to be atakedown stock for the 10/22 called the "packer" that would come apart by pushing a button, and the barrel would then turn and remove.

Your friend should find and handle a AR7 before he buys one, the butt is by necessity quite wide in order to store all the stuff.
