DaleThere is a write-up on the Steyr Zephyr II on page 74 of the latest issue of the American Rifleman (October, 2018). They tested the rifle in .22 WMR. I would like to see the accuracy results for a .22 LR.

DaleThere is also an article in the latest issue of "Rifle" on the .22LR version of the Zephyr II. I was not impressed with the accuracy they got from the test rifle. I have a CZ 455, a Win. 52C Sporter (the Miroku version sold by Browning), and two Marlin 39As that are far more accurate and cost half as much. I think for the money I would buy an Anschutz sporter if I were in the market for another .22LR.

StonecreekI read the Rifle review and there are several features that I didn't particularly care for in this rifle. As Dale points out, it did not turn in very impressive groups.
Dale has suggested Anschutz, who is dependable in their rimfires. I have a Sako P94 "Finnfire" that I am impressed with. There is currently a "Finnfire II" on the market, but I can't vouch for it since I haven't seen or shot one. An Oregon Kimber 82 is a great .22 if you can find one at an affordable price. However, I don't know too much about the current crop of New York Kimbers.

DaleI was visiting a friend today and he showed me a recent (didn't check the date) issue of "Guns and Ammo" that had a write-up on the Zephyr II in .22LR. They tested 3 types of ammunition and got groups of .53 to .65 inches (average of five 5-shot groups at 50 yards). That was considerably better than the one "Rifle" magazine tested. Maybe just normal variation from one rifle to the next.

BrittmanI ordered one thru Steyr in AL. They sent it to a gun shop I asked for and I really like it! Not cheap at close to a Grand, but it shoots around 1/2” at 50 yds. w/ good ammo.
I had to return it as the ejection was an issue. It came back working as it should.
A cool rifle - mine in .22LR cal.
Brittman

Glad to hear you like it and it shoots well. A high-quality .22 is always a fun rifle to shoot.
