brewha10/22 barrel/stock combos?
I have had my ruger 10/22 for several years now and I'm looking at upgrading it. Mainly to improve accuracy and for fun. What do you recommend? thanks

WWhunterFirst thing is to replace the barrel. I like to put on a bull barrle as it really helps steady the gun and most of the ones out there are real tack drivers even with cheapo ammo.

sputsterIf there was one thing I wish I had done when I "converted" my 10/22, it would be a plan. In the end, I ended up with a Shilen stainless steel barrel, a Bell and Carlson Anschutz style stock, Wolff spring kit, Volquartsen target hammer, and a Weaver scope base and rings holding on to a Leupold 4x12 that used to sit on my .30-06 rifle. This was all done over time. In the end, I would say make sure that you spend a couple of extra bucks and get a quality barrel if you can (Shilen, Douglas, Lilja, Volq, etc.) and go for the target hammer and sear. It makes it all worth it.
I still have to bed the barrel; I picked up a Brownell's kit at Cabela's in Buda last weekend, and will get cracking! Good luck
