Does anyone own one and how do you like it? This is a rifle i've had my eye on and it sounds as if i better go get me one while the getting is good. It is a great looking rifle, but how well do they perform?

butchloci just got one a couple months ago. haven't really had a chance to shoot it to much yet, but at 20 yards it shot a 5 shot group of .4. and at 50 it was .6. this with federal american eagle elcheapo ammo. & a 3-9 burris miniscope

icemanls2Are they hit and miss or is the overall quality control pretty good with CZ?

mousegun1Bought one in january- I love it - a natural pointer- Put a 4x on it but may take it off and make this one my iron sight rifle. quality control is good -The FS seems to get better wood put on them- only things I did to mine was adj trigger- may put a kit in and replace the three plastic parts- Mag- Mag well- Fore end cap.You better hurry if you want a 452 FS- they are hard to find. The 455 is coming and I hear they are dropping all FS rifles RF&CF ??

Don't know of any 452's that don't shoot, including the BEAUTIFUL FS model. Buy it. If it does need some accurizing, that is very doable by the owner. I have two 452's that shoot very well.

butchlocthen after you buy one, look down the forum a few posts and find out how to do a easy trigger job

Bernie P.Lots of folks over at RFC love them. From posts there they appear to be very consistent giving excellent accuracy like the other 452's.I'd like to get one myself.I have a CZ 527 American in .223 and love it.Quite a few of the CZ's Ive seen at RFC came with VERY nicely figured wood including the FS version.

mousegun1I went to the range Saturday- shot my CZ FS- not bad for a 4x scope- 10 shots ea 1" target @ 50 yards

Bernie P.mousegun1 any problems as far as fit/feel goes shooting with a scope on the FS?I'm debating between it and the American myself.I just cant find one to see how I like it.

mousegun1It is a natural pointer, I love it- just like my shot gun- the FS is as accurate as my other models. The scope choice needs to be a compact type to clear the rear sight without having to use high rings. that's a Leupold 4X compact in CZ rings- I have a Leupold Rimfire 2x7 on another CZ. The rear sight leaf is not a problem to remove for front bell clearance , but I don't like losing the iron sight capability- they are good sights. Those big variable scopes look out of place on a hunting type rifle. IMO

mousegun1Since that last range session .I have put an AS adjustable sear from Brownells in- Wow, the trigger is great- I need to get back and shoot- not fun in 100 degree weather- the trigger is adjustable for weight and substituting springs is good (ACE hardware #141 spring)Or get a Yodave kit on ebay you can take the creep out with the sleeves in the kit and lighten with the springs. and then there are the adj.sears- I bought the AS since it was stainless steel. Now I'm wanting an 17h2 in an FS. Why??

NortonJust picked mine up last night......my first impression is that I expected a bit more for $500.....there's more plastic than I expected, and the machining on the metal edges is middling at best. Hope she's a shooter!

mousegun1I have put metal magazine housings in all mine- I also got some metal mags and if the plastic nose cap on the FS bothers you -the Metal nose cap for the 527 FS fits perfectly- You can get the nose cap from CZ USA parts dept. the metal mag wells came from brnoman.Email him @ ajakubec@aol.com -he is a source for older BRNO CZ parts. It will be a shooter, Just find out which ammo it likes ( try some Wolf)and don't worry that test target it's for proof/ function
