SaeedIf You Shoot 22 Rim Fire, Make Sure You Have A Bottle Of Whisky Handy!!
I was talking to a good friend of mine in the US the other day.
We got to talking about the strange things that happen when one shoots 22 rim fire for accuracy.
He told me one of the best shooters has told him once that the most important thing to have while shooting 22 rim fire is a bottle of whisky handy.
As one will need it!
Now, what do people like me who do not drink do??

TomPI went to a smallish rimfire benchrest shoot this morning, drizzle and switchy winds. Perhaps engage in a little meditation...

Idaho SharpshooterSaeed,
do you realize that people who do not drink feel as good first thing in the morning when they wake up as they are going to that day...?

jfromswkISS, I probably have no more than 6 or 7 redbeers (nothing else) a month on average. Does that qualify me as a drinker, non-drinker, or just plain LAZY? J

watermanAlcohol is a depressant. If you are a serious student of 22 rimfire accuracy, you may well be depressed enough, without chemical assistance. Something to cheer you up may be more useful. Perhaps meditation, prayer or sex.

KimRYep!22 RF BR shooters spend 1/3 of their time finding a load(then buying all they can afford);1/3 shooting matches;1/3 looking for a load when they run out of #1.Not only lot# but machine# matters.

I meditate and pray for sex all the time and it hasn't helped my shooting one bit.

arkypeteThe bottle of whiskey can add to my chances of winning. I'd go around with the bottle a handful of small plastic cups and offer any and all a couple fingers.

I dont think waterman was suggesting that praying FOR sex could somehow improve our shooting..

watermanIf your prayers were answered with positive results, perhaps improved shooting would not be so important.
If your prayers are not answered with positive result, perhaps the answer is to be more diligent when practicing your shooting.
