dave wesbrookPlease delete thread
Would the moderators please delete the entire thread on my .338-06. Z1r posted it for me, but now that Kabluewy has hijacked the thread and reposted the original post Z1r is unable to delete the thread.
Please help!

JBrownThere is no reason to delete the thread, IMO. Kabluewy is making an ass out of himself. Leave the thread up so that others can see what a jerk he is.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

larrysAs much as I absolutely hate to side with KB, and I do hate to, I think the thread should also stay. He began by stating his opinion on the nature of "Custom" including an example of his and the relative values of each. Others also stated the same opinions about relative value. It was not until Dave posted his comment about pissing on a thread did it go down hill. Go re-read the first page again. I don't care for KB, mainly he is much too verbose in his opinions for me, but unless attacked first, he usually does not do more than state his opinion.

I just went back and re-read it. It seems to me the whole thing came unglued in KB's third post when he told Jim Kobe to go #@*& himself after Jim told KB his rifle wasn't in the same class as the one pictured.
I just hope this doesn't discourage those that really know what they are talking about from posting in the future. A few very knowledgeable gunsmiths I've dealt with in the past will not post here anymore for this very reason.
