Duane,

This is a Google trick.

AR has always been the way it is.

Google, on Chrome, started blocking sites that do not have https instead of http.

There was an uproar against Chrome, and they relented and now one can access all sites with it.

Look at it this way, anytime you log into the Internet you are exposed to hacking.

There is absolutely no way around it.

Now, are you the sort of individual, or company, that anyone wants to hack?

Some go to extreme measures by using proxy servers to hide their identity.

It does work, to certain extent, never for ever if they stay on it.

Basically, don't put anything on the Internet you wish for no one to find.

Bank accounts get hacked, that should tell you something.

Its not just google and chrome.

There is an extension available called "HTTPS EVERYWHERE" which I use in Firefox but I believe it is available for most other browsers as well.

It does block this site initially but you have the option to go to the unsecured (http) site.

It is intended as a second line of defense so you don't accidentally open an unintended website.

I have been using HTTPS EVERYWHERE for two years now with no issues.
