mike williamspicture posting woes
Not being a computer literate person is tough in todays world.
When I try to post a pic from photo bucket I get no photo, just a set of codes i.e; {img}IMG_0123.jpg{img}.
What am I doing wrong? I have posted photos in the past but I guess I forgot how!
Anybody with a suggestion?

Charles_HelmGo to your Photobucket page with the picture you want to post and copy the code that look like this:

paste it directly into your post here, do not use the image posting icon since you already have the codes.

mike williamsWill the image be visible when posted?
If not; how do I know if I have it?

Charles_HelmIt will not show up until you click the "post now" icon and the post is entered on the board -- it will not show up when composing your post.

mike williamsCharles;
appreciate the help. I could teach my wifes Lab quicker than I can get this.
On facebook: When my curser covers the photo it shows a checkbox underneath with IMG_0900.jpg beside it. Do I check that box? Or not?
Is that the code I need to put in the image URL line on my post?

Charles_HelmFacebook or Photobucket?
On Photobucket, if you put the cursor on the picture in the album you get a series of codes. The bottom one, labelled IMG Code, is the string of characters you want to copy and paste into your post. If you click the picture and go to its individual page in the album, the codes are to the right of the picture.

mike williamsI think I have it!!!!!
Either Win 7 or my photo bucket is not set up like some others but I may have figured it out.

Well, as long as you are showing it to us, tell us a little bit about that knife you made!

Pretty much my standard Quachita Hunter. Four inch blade of forged 1084. Desert ironwood handle with stainless fittings. Rowe sheath that Kenny and I worked up. Secure, accessable, and protects.
The guard is a little longer than I like but the client was adamant so there it was.

Because it looks like you clicked on the button marked URL and not the 3rd button from RIGHT (display immage) which asks for the link to where the picture is.
