BenKKANZAC Day Banner Photos?
G'day,
Thanks for commemorating ANZAC day for us Aussies and Kiwis, but I can't help but notice the photos in the banner seem to be of Turkish soldiers, not ANZAC soldiers. Now, of all the opponents Australians and New Zealanders have faced, those Turkish soldiers are probably among the most respected by our side, and there remains a special bond with Turkey based on mutual respect from the Gallipoli Campaign. Just thought I should bring it to your attention.
Cheers,
Ben

muzzaBen - I hunted out those pics a couple of years ago. It seemed fitting that we included the "other side" as well as the Anzac troops in commemorating this day. Not all the soldiers are Turks - its about half and half - the last one has both sides shown.

PeterYet another touch of class on the part of AR. The fact that it happens every year just demonstrates it fairly often! Gallipoli and Beersheeba are just two of the many places where ANZAC folks have left their mark on the world stage.
