PeterRemembrance Day 100 years!
I know the powers that will be not forget, but this years marks 100 years since the end of WW 1. Most Americans are completely oblivious, while the rest of the world has been marking the events leading up to this for the last 4 years.
Millions died. The dearest and the best. May they Rest in Peace.
Peter.

DRGquote:
IN FLANDERS FIELDS
In Flanders' fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders' fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe;
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high,
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders' Fields.

SaeedSo sad some young people have absolutely no concept what had happened then.
An American girl, leader of the student union at Oxford, posted that she wants to get rid of anything to do with "white" people from the past.
And she is white!
A member of the labour party in the UK is demanding that anything to do with poppy's is removed from history!!
Trump refusing to go and pay his respect because of the rain!
Such a bloody shame!

Ratwhiskersl feel ashamed to live in a country that gave so much only to have following generations try to disavow history and the freedoms it bought them.
To those who made the ultimate sacrifice may their gods keep and rest their souls.

Of course she is! That is how she can get away with it! She should go on a sabbatical to some African countries. Hell, any of 'em!
