Custom forum view?

Custom forum view?
I've looked for the answer in the Help section, etc, and searched for the answer but can't seem to find it, so here is my question:

Is there a way to customize the forum view I see so if I am not interested in hunting in Lower Trashcanistan, left handed wrist rockets, or .50 BMG issues, I don't see those forums??

You can collapse sections by clicking the little '-' sign in the lion icon next to the section name, but I do not know whether you can hide specific forums.
