For many years I have applauded (to many people)AR’s seemingly unbiased acknowledgment of the holidays and important dates of many nations and religions.
But, today’s very open political “jab” in the Thanksgiving acknowledgmen....was both uncalled for and “not” totally accurate !
A correction without political bias would be welcome! Thank You, memtb

Political? How is a factual remembrance of the Pilgrims political.
My wife goes all the back to those original immigrants and I can tell you they would have starved had it not been for Squantum and his tribe of Wapanoags. In fact, our house is on the land owned by Myles Standish back in 1620s.

The only thing that I think is strange about the banner is that in both of the first hand accounts of the first "Thanksgiving" there is no mention of turkey being served. There was however notations of venison being served.

Bill/OregonDon, thank you for sharing that family history. My Wood ancestors came to Plimoth about 1630, so they missed the first terribly lean years. They married Mayflower children and grandchildren -- and yes, they owed a debt to the Wampanoags!

A lot of us have, some of us never went to sleep and have been trying to point out what was happening, but very few have wanted to listen.
Too many folks over the past 4 or 5 decades or so have been more concerned about their families futures than our countries future asnd are now awakening to what that has cost them and America.
Our nation has became too divided along the lines of Political Ideology to the point that it will never be United again, unity has went out the window and rabid partisanship has taken its place.
