MuskegManNunivak Muskox Advice/Help Needed
A buddy here at work (AK resident) just got word that someone backed out of a Nunivak Muskox hunt and he is the first alternate. ADF&G is sending him the info on logistics, outfitters/guides, etc.
Anyone do this hunt and willing to share info? I know he wants to go bad as it's probably a once-in-a-lifetime draw.

donutzakGreat luck there. I was lucky enough to draw this tag last season. Highly reccomend James Whitman on the island for your transporter. This hunt is costly, no way around it. But, James will answer all questions. Also very do able w/ bow. Must do!

There's alot more info on the Pristine Ventures website and the Outdoors Directory website if you search.
I can't get the website to work properly after I joined.
I guess I will have to try it again later.
Nice all Alaska website though.

HughiamThere's a woman behind every tree? That's funny!
My brother did that hunt solo last year. Shot his bull 2.5 miles from his campsite. 5 trips to get the meat/hide back to camp. Yup, 25 miles with a musk ox on his back.
Made B&C though.
Contact me and Ill give you his number if youd like. He lives on POW.
