Use Enough GunWhat are the current covid test requirements for non-residents flying into Alaska?
I will be flying into Anchorage near the end of this month and wondered if anyone can tell me what the Covid test requirements, if any, are for flying into Anchorage on Alaska Airlines. I have been fully vaccinated and actually had Covid back in November of 2020. Do I need a negative covid test within 72 hours of flying? I can't seem to get any definitive answers from anyone. Any information would be appreciated.

At this point the State has no emergency declaration so you can simply walk around the testing set up and go on your merry way.
Anchorage, and it's progressive assembly, still has restrictions but that does not affect your entry into the state.
I'll PM you my contact info if you have any other questions.

craneIt is over. No restrictions. Not sure if or when carriers will be requiring some proof of vaccination.

Look forward to it. When you have timing planned let us know. We go off grid a lot in the summer.

Wish that was true in the Municipality.

bwanamrmSo if I am understanding the replies to Vaughan... my son and I fly into Anchorage on May 6th, exit the airport, climb into a car and drive to Homer, get on a boat for a week of black bear hunting, and we don't need to COVID test?
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Alaska COVID siteIf you notice it says travelers are ADVISED. You are NOT required to get tested. They will try and direct you into a testing area at the airport but you have every right to walk right past them and on your merry way.
Alaska has NO emergency declaration in place. As I mentioned earlier the Municipality of Anchorage does at present and I've been fighting it in earnest for close to six months. The Assembly has 7 progressive leftists running the show. The Emergency Proclamation in the Muni sunsets I believe April 13th and there's a fair chance it will not be extended. But I don't trust them.

bwanamrmJust got back from Alaska, no issues to report in or out of the airport. No tests or vaccination card required. They do have a station where you can be tested near the baggage claim area but no pressure to do so. We walked right through and picked up our luggage and headed for Homer!

I gotta say Jim, I dig the Equador sweater moniker. To me that kind of quirk screams cool.
