I went on this hunt last year. If things have stayed the same Mark is leaving out perhaps the most important part. That being, at the end of the day you get to sleep in a real bed in a real cabin. My bear was sealed with a 25 14/16 skull and squared a bit over 9 feet. The other hunter, who I shared camp with, took a B&C bear which squared about the same as mine.

What type of weather and hunting conditions are we talking about?

The hunts take place in April while the snow is still firm enough to support snowmobiles. Temps normally will be 20's to 40's. April in the hunt area often is very nice but being that it is Alaska you can't expect it. The snowmachines offer you the opportunity to cover a huge area and greatly increase your chances of success. The hunt basically offers a 100% shooting opportunity on a good boars.
